December 20, 2000 - P3DO 1.3 Sails out (at last)

This version include thumbnail resize, support for .rsr with .pz3 files (P3DO tip not Poser), a new 2D library, display of .psd and .png, a new interface, some fixes around, overall a more cumfortable P3DO... Merry christmas everybody.

December 01, 2000 - Good news

I've just added a new library for 2D files in P3DO. This means a faster, safer P3DO. The amount of resources required by the 2D engine is incredibly low. Some bugs corrected, some small functionnality here and there, a cuter look, this will be 1.3 version - for christmas. Not the promised 1.3 since i'm waiting for a new compiler but still a major version.

November 18, 2000 - See3d 0.b (beta version) Ships out

At last See3d is now available for download on the See3d page.
As for a beta version, this is a beta version. See3d just offers quick and safe preview of Poser objects. Texturing, rendering, morphing, cooler stuff and GUI is yet to come.
This to say i'm not proud of See3d but let's say it is already good enough to preview props and that was the primary goal. Now let's focus on 1.0 ;))

October 28, 2000 - See3d 0.a (alpha version) under trial

The C3D viewer is now called See3d, credit for this name should be given to Lobo.
See3d 0.a has been released to a limited number of users for a trial course.
(If you really can't stand waiting, drop me a line i'll send you 0.a ;)
There is still a lot of things to do before having a serious viewer.
Aniway, 0.b (beta version) is announced November-18.

October 21, 2000 - WIP P3dO C3D 3D engine

I'm working hard on C3D. Due to lack of accurate information I spent a lot of time trying to set the colors on a 3D mesh. At last i'm beginning to work on .pp2 files ;)).
The october picture in "HOT SPOT" is a Wavefront Object geometry with material colors.
First usable release 0.b (beta version) between November-11 to November-25.
0.a (beta version) between October-28 to November-04
0.a (beta version) will be fairly usable, it's just a "see if it doesn't crash" version
and only available for a limited time.

October 14, 2000 - Some news on softwares in progress

C3D: load .obj files (7 seconds to load P4NudeWoman, 12 for Vicky on my 233Mhz).
Half of Poser rendering modes implemented.
Now beginning .pp2, .hr2, .cr2 loading, next will be colouring.
Only .bmp texturing will be available with first release.
First release 0.a (beta version) between October-28 to November-11

P3dO: all messy with severall bug fixes, a new look and some new tips.
I'm waiting for a new compiler before any further update.
1.2.9B (intermediary) still planned in the mid-time.
Priority still set to C3D untill October-28

October 5, 2000 - This is not P3dO this time, nor C3D

Rorschach and I made great improvment on the NewEve figure.
She's now fully P4NudeWoman texture map compatible and has Eve 3 gen map.
I would like to thank Rorschach for his great work in this project.
and now... go get NewEve V3 on the figures page

September 29, 2000

P3dO Object viewer first screen shot on P3dO C3D page C3D needs serious improvement as you will see

September 20, 2000

I meet a serious bug with the thumbnail resize
Sorry, but 1.2.9B is delayed until further notice

September 9, 2000 - P3dO 1.2.9 (intermediary version) available

Drop from Windows Explorer, directory Cut/Copy/Paste, faster .rsr loading, help file
~ ~ ~
Now i'll have to share my time between the 3D engine and P3dO
this means one month on two improvements on one of the 2 features (2D or 3D).
The 3D props viewer is the new priority. First release in October.
It will be called P3dO Object Viewer, code name P3dO C3D project.
This is far from being romantic, but makes it clear on the temporary nature of the utility.

BTW - I did the thumbnail resize this week (for P3dO 1.3), now you can view
40 pictures with 120x120 thumbs, 60 with 100x100, 96 with 80x80 or 160 with 60x60.
(It's so useful, among with some bugs corrections, there'll be a 1.2.9B in 2 weeks).

August 27, 2000 - The 3D quest is over and i found nothing (interesting)

Actually i decided to make a custom 3D engine.
The work has begun with a standalone props viewer.
This 3D engine is especially dedicated to 3D Sequel,
P3dO will be the trial platform
~ ~ ~
P3dO 2D viewer : i added the drop from Windows Explorer,
directory Cut/Copy/Paste, a pretty fast .rsr loading algorithm, a help file.
It will be 1.2.9 (September-09), ultimate intermediary version before 1.3.
